* just found this! look down the page, somewhere near the bottom. it's a podcast from the billy morrison/dave navarro 'camp freddy' radio show. james joins the conversation for a while. it was taped on the weekend on the viper room shows (september 15th and 16th).

so......
sorry there haven't been any updates for a while. i've had some major internet problems over the last couple of months which meant no internet access, which meant no access to my server, which meant no james hall updates. i'm back on track now, so.....

james played at the viper room in los angeles on september 15th and 16th. from what i hear the shows were great.
here's the setlist from the 15th..

the set on the 16th was pretty much the same - "minus 'no future kid', jammin 'contract' at the end of 'high stepping' and adding 'you want love' at the end of the set."

nice to see new songs 'evil twin' and 'consenting adults' making an appearance.
the lineup featured michael jerome on drums, chris piskun on guitar and bruce butkovich on bass.
dean karr ('here comes the trick' photographer) put a cool little review of the friday night show on his myspace blog. you can find it via his comment on the james hall myspace page.

James Hall and Robert Roth perform together Tuesday night at Can Can in Seattle's Pike Place area. Hall, who cites Robert's '04 "Someone, Somewhere" as his favorite release in many years, is extremely excited about the pairing. "I heard Robert play when we had a show together at the Sunset in '04 and his sense of style immediately resonated with me... to be put in such company is a dream situation for me." Seattle's multi-talented Graig Markel(solo artist,Nachos) has stepped up to playing bass on the show, along with Chris Friel(Rockfords,Goodness) on drums.
